Go online to find a good home inspector. Home buyers can go online and search for a licensed and credentialed inspector. Find a home inspector at American Society of Home Inspectors or the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors. The inspectors that belong to a professional group, adhere to higher standards of inspections.

 

The cost of a home inspection?

 

Home inspection costs depends on the size of the home and complexity of the items being inspected. There are many things that you can inspect for and we can advise you on what inspections you need.

 

Don’t let the price of inspections guide you to the wrong inspector. Good inspectors are busy and charge about the same. ( $300-600 for average home). Cheap will always cost you more in the long run as some inspectors may not inspect as many items.

 

What happens after a home inspection?

 

Should the home inspections not be satisfactory, the buyer can re-negotiate the contract or walk away and buy something else. That is, if the contract is subject to your approval of home inspections.
