What is Earth Fare?

 

Earth Fare is an organic specialty market. They plan to open the first natural-foods grocery at the southern gateway to down town Orlando on South Orange Avenue.

 

Crescent Communities newest Central Florida project, is called Crescent Lucerne. This 6-story project will include stores along with 375 apartments on almost 5 acres.

 

South Orange already has a Publix, Walmart and Super Target, but officials say that Earth Fare, will be the first market to offer all natural foods.

Within its 24,000 square feet, they will offer foods free of artificial fats, colors, preservatives, sweeteners and bleached flours. It will also specialize in foods with no high-fructose corn syrup, hormones or antibiotics.

 

Based out of Asheville, NC, the Earth Fare food chain includes 36 stores in nine Southeast, and Midwestern states. This downtown Orlando site is the fifth store in Florida and the first in Orlando.

 

Health food development

 

The land was purchased from Orlando Health, with plans for Earth Fare being a high quality gateway development. The project centers around community wellness, which is the focus for both Earth Fare and Orlando Health.

 

In addition to the grocery and apartments, Crescent Lucerne is expected to have about 7,000 square feet of retail.

 

Healthy places to shop

 

Orlando is a hub of organic and farm fresh produce places. Whole foods has expanded its stores, and the Fresh Market chain has opened in town. The no frills chain of Aldi is transforming into an all organic grocery, banning all pesticides.

 

Even Walmart is jumping on the band wagon. They are offering more organic produce than before. Now they even carry organic orange juice and recently started selling grass fed beef products.

 

Homebuyers like Organic stores
