Home Buyers who want to rent before home buying in Orlando…

We get many calls from home buyers who want to rent before home buying in Orlando that need a rental for a few months before they buy a home in Orlando.  Home buying in Orlando is easy, renting short term renting, not so much.

Most landlords want an annual lease or double the rent for a 7 month occupancy…that is, if you can even find someone willing to do a 7 month rental.  The alternative is to find a short term rental. 

Neighborhoods and Communities have to be approved for short term rentals, before someone can rent by the week or month.  So, these short term rentals are only available close to the Disney corridor.  Vacation rentals are available in south Orlando, Kissimmee or Davenport at about $3000 a month and finding 3 consecutive months available is almost non-existent.  Vacation rentals are in demand and typically furnished nicely to attract vacation tenants, so if there is a property that has several months of vacancies, I have to wonder why…what is the problem?
