But according to Niche.com after some research about the millennial age group, they came up with the best Orlando neighborhood or Central Florida neighborhood for millennial’s. They looked at 11 different statistics including the percentage of residents between 25 and 34, the close proximity to bars and similar establishments, the availability of coffee shops, availability of full-service restaurants and number of residents with bachelors degrees or similar certificates. Is what they came up with.
Uptown came in at number one. With a population of about 1300 in this urban area just west of Parklake and Highland, the median home value is about $141,000 with the median rent of about $1079. Household income is about $61,000. It’s housing, nightlife, diversity and overall grade all came in between an A and an A+.
Park Lake and the Highland area has a population of about 2000 and is a suburban area of Orlando around Lake Highland Park. It also received an A with the median home value of about $197,000 and the median rent of about $1100.
Number three on the list is right downtown. Historic core and central business district of Orlando bordered by Marks Street to the north, Mills Avenue on the east, Orange Blossom Trail to the West and Kaley Avenue on the south, is home to several residential and commercial towers and has a median home value of about $254,000.
Lake Davis and the Greenwood area, with a population of about 2100 is located just west of the Greenwood Cemetery and south of 408 Expressway. Has a median income of about $323,000 with a surprisingly rent of just $1035. Received an overall grade of A+.
And finally, to round out the top 5 of the best neighborhoods for millennial’s is Lake Eola Heights. With over 480 historical buildings, this neighborhood in the eastern part of downtown Orlando is home to about 2300 residents with the median home value of about $246,000 and a median rent of $995.
