Lake Jessamine is located in Orlando Florida directly south of downtown and south of Holden Heights between S. Orange Ave. and Highway 441. This is a larger lake with several parks around it and a wide range of home prices. Follow along Mary Jess Road off of S. Orange Ave. and you’ll find some beautiful luxury homes towards the waterfront. These homes sit on larger lots of about 1 acre and were built between the 1950s in the 1970s. Most of the higher-priced homes have seen upgrades and updates over the years and several homes may have a gated driveway.

Nearly all the homes that border the shoreline have boat docks and/or boat slips. Some lots are up to 5 acres and people call this neighborhood a “hidden Gem” since most people don’t even know these luxury homes are here. These properties feature anywhere from 80 feet to 200 feet of lakefront and boast a very private and secluded location. But, downtown Orlando and the airport are just a few minutes away. Many homes have backyard swimming pools and each one has been custom built so every listing will be different. Some have just 1500 ft.² while others boast over 4000 ft.².

Higher-priced properties in this area start at about $500,000 up to $1 million. Price variance is dependent on location, lot size, home size, and condition. There are no homeowner association fees for most of the properties around Lake Jessamine.

Schools and Nearby

These homes are in the Orange County school district and are served by the Pine Castle Elementary school, the Judson B Walker middle school, and the Oak Ridge high school, all about a mile away. The Cornerstone Charter K – 8 and high school are also about a mile from here and are also assigned to this community. Shops, restaurants, markets and more are close by and most modern conveniences are less than 5 to 10 minutes from the majority of homes in this area.
