Lake Nona Tennis Center USTA
Unites States Tennis Association (USTA) will be building the largest Lake Nona tennis center in the nation costing $60 million. City of Orlando approved tax incentives to attract UTSA to Lake Nona. Recently, the chief tourism marketing agency reached an agreement with USTA to become global partner in U.S. Open.
Not only will the Lake Nona tennis center be known for world class golf, but it will become a world class place to play tennis. This will put Lake Nona on the map as having a one of a kind tennis facility.
Lake Nona tennis center will feature 100 courts, wow that is huge! This Lake Nona Tennis Center will encompass 63 acres, and will be completed by 4th quarter 2016. The Lake Nona Tennis center will offer tennis for all ages even over age 90.
Lake Nona Tennis Center will offer the following features
- Tournament Tennis area: 24 clay courts and 16 courts will be built at the Lake Nona Tennis center. Two player pavilions, player lounge, public restrooms, stringer area and check-in.
- Collegiate Tennis area for UCF: 12 hard courts, and one tournament court that allows 2 matches to be held at the same time. Two story pavilion seating 1,200 people, locker rooms and public restrooms will also be included at the Lake Nona Tennis center.
- Team USTA: 8 hard courts and 8 clay courts for team UTSA, coaches, and player development. Player development headquarters will be moved from Boca Raton, Fl. to the Lake Nona Tennis center.
- High Performance and Player Development area: 8 hard and 8 clay courts, and 6 covered courts for USTA player development. The Lake Nona Tennis center will also include dorms for 32 boys and girls, with strength and conditioning space.
- Youths and Adults area: 8, 36-foot and 8 6o-foot courts for game development at the Lake Nona Tennis center.
- USTA Office building: This will feature a ground floor level tennis pro shop, fitness area, locker rooms, player lounge, cafeteria, and office buildings on upper floors.
