In the northwest quadrant of the community is the Como Lake Park, which surrounds a lake that is the centerpiece of the neighborhood. It’s located at the intersection of Lake Como Circle and Bumby Avenue and provides a natural oasis in the middle of this residential neighborhood. At any given time there are 5 to 10 properties for sale in the Lake Como neighborhood nestled just south of Highway 408. It borders a couple of small lake such as Lake Arnold, Lake Giles, and Lake Underhill, however, most of the homes in Lake Como are not waterfront. Lake Como is actually a small pond in the. Northwest quadrant of the community with homes spiraling out from this center point. The neighborhood borders the Greenwood Cemetery to the west, Highway 408 to the north, the Lake Underhill and Dover Shores West neighborhoods to the east, and Lake Terrace and Belle Air to the south.

 

Home prices start at about $230,000 up to $600,000 and properties were built in the 1960s up to the 1990s. There are several ballfields and other parks surrounding homes in residential neighborhoods and shops and restaurants are about 5 to 10 minutes away. Lake Como provides easy access to the E. West Expressway and the Orlando Executive Airport is just a few blocks north.

Some of the top schools in the area include the Orlando Science Middle and Charter High School, the Orlando Science Elementary school, the Lake Eola charter school, the Boone high school and the Cornerstone Charter Academy high school, all receiving top scores from parents and teachers alike.

 

Most of the amenities sit just south of the neighborhood along Curry Ford Road. This includes a Winn-Dixie, shops, restaurants, markets, and more. Downtown Orlando is just a few minutes West and the Orlando Executive Airport borders Lake Como on the northeast corner.
