Orwin Manor is a neighborhood in downtown Orlando Florida nestled between Rose Isle, Lake Formosa, Fairview Shores and Winter Park. The neighborhood encompasses Lake Winyah and Lake Estelle and borders Lake Sue. With a population of about 2800 residents, it’s been noted as one of the best places to live in Orange County. The community stretches from Nottingham Street to the north, Orange Avenue to the west, Lakeshore Drive or the shores of Lake Sue to the west, and Dorchester Street to the south with a small looping of Lake Estelle along N. Mills Ave. The entire neighborhood is no more than six square blocks but is primarily residential.
Many of these midsize homes or competitively priced with construction dating back to about the 1920s. New homes have been developed over the years and you’ll find quite an eclectic a grouping of properties from simple single-family homes with two bedrooms and one bath priced around $400,000 to larger modern style estates of over $1 million. The Cornerstone Academy is also assigned to this community as is the Killarney elementary school, however its slight distance from Orwin Manor.
Orwin Manor is just north of the Orlando Science Center, the Manolo Museum of American Art and the Advent Health Center as well as easy access to Interstate 4. The Dubsdread Golf Course is just a couple of minutes West and the Mead Botanical Garden borders Orwin Manor to the north. Along N. Mills Ave. is several shops, restaurants, markets, nightlife, and more.
This is a convenient location with a lot of great amenities and most homes do not have homeowner association fees.
