Picketts Cove
Pickett’s Cove is a high-end community surrounding Lake Pickett in Northeast Orlando. This 800-acre ski lake has a variety of homes and estates surrounding the lake with luxury properties, gated driveways, and lots of custom designs. Some of the homes were built by Arthur Rutenberg and sit on at least 1 acre.
This is a non-gated community and homeowners dues range from about $80-$120 per month depending on the home site. Most of the homes were built between 1990 and 2000 and offer 4 to 6 bedrooms, 5 to 7 bathrooms in sizes from 3500 ft.² to over 6000 ft.².
Lake Pickett is noted as the third cleanest lake in Florida.Its maximum depth is only 35 feet with a mean depth of about 12 feet. The lake has a large peninsula out in the middle separating two sections of the lake but the potential is primarily uninhabited. It consists of wooded and forested areas.
Newer homes down by Lake Pickett Reserve are currently being built but the luxury estate homes are found mainly on the west side of the lake with longer driveways, 1+ Acre sites, and custom homes. Properties range from about $800,000 to over $1.5 million.
Homeowner association fees cover all common area maintenance and include electricity and grounds maintenance as well as management. Most homes have 2 to 4 garages and several have their own dock or boat ramp with access to the community boat ramp.
Residents are part of the Orange County school district and served by the East Lake elementary school, the Corner Lake middle school, and that East River high school. The Cornerstone Charter Academy high school and K – 8 also serves this area, that a closer to 17 miles away. The three main schools are about 3 miles away.
