Rose Isle has been touted as one of the best neighborhoods in the Orlando area. Nestled just off of N. Mills Ave. between Lake Estelle and Lake Sue north of Lake Rowena, this community is close to the Florida Hospital in Orlando, parks, the Orlando Science Center, shops right across the street, Rowena Gardens and offers easy access to Interstate 4.

This location offers an 83% livability and received an A+ for amenities, employment, housing, and weather. (areavibes.com) The cost of living is one of the highest in the area however but education is good and crime is low. It is ranked #8 in Florida and #1 in Orlando. It offers a high income per capita, lots of local amenities and a stable housing market.

This is not exclusively gated community but it’s also not a thoroughfare either. At any given time there are roughly 2 to 10 properties for sale typically ranging from $700,000 to $1.5 million. Homes along Lakeshore Drive range a little bit higher as they are primarily waterfront homes.

Home to about 350 residents, 96% of the population are homeowners with an average age of about 50. Locals love this neighborhood due to its walk-ability, quiet atmosphere, dog-friendly parks, peaceful sidewalks and is well-maintained. Most of the properties were built in the 1950s to the 1980s. Properties are around 1/3 to 1/2 acres and nearly all are single-family homes. There are no pet restrictions and no mandatory homeowners associations either, however, there is an optional common association.

Schools

Residents with school age children utilize the Princeton Elementary school, the Lee Middle school, and the Edgewater high school. All of these schools are about 2 miles away for residents of also utilize the Fern Creek Elementary, the Cornerstone Academy charter school and other private schools in the area. This is an extremely bike friendly neighborhood but it only has a walk score of 38 and a transit score of 34.
