Condos can be found starting in the $190,000 dollar range and top off around $1.9 million. Homes in Thornton Park are a little more expensive than other areas of downtown Orlando.

 

Home prices are between $350,000 and $2 million based on size, condition, location, and amenities. There are beautiful traditional Orlando style homes built from the 1940s all the way up to today. There are gorgeous condominiums around $500,000 featuring 2500 ft.², large layouts, and excellent views of the neighborhood. There’s also a luxury historical homes for around $1 million featuring seven bedrooms, 5000 ft.², and beautiful grounds.

 

The location of homes in this district is the main reason most people settle here. Everything you could need is within walking distance. Thornton Park has many great upscale and eclectic restaurants, boutiques and shops. Every second Tuesday the district hosts a wine tour. The wine tour has become very popular with locals. For $10 get a glass and walk through the district visiting the area’s businesses, let them pour you some wine and enjoy the community while you shop.

 

Just a few blocks away next door is the Lake Eola Heights District. Here you can find Lake Eola Park. Take a stroll around the lake at night and enjoy the lighted fountain. Go during the day to feed the swans or paddle a swan-shaped boat around the lake. Take the kids to the playground to stretch their legs. On Saturdays, the park hosts a great local farmer’s market. During the year there are many free concerts at the amphitheater. Some of the luxury condos of Thorton Park have views of Lake Eola.

 

Schools

 

Those with school-age children typically attend the Hillcrest Elementary school, the Howard middle school, and the Boone high school. These schools are between .2 and 1.2 miles from most homes in Thornton Park. The elementary school receives the 9 out of 10 by great schools.org.
