The Amazing Millenia Neighborhood of Orlando

You might know where this place is but may not have known what it’s called. Millenia is a neighborhood in South Orlando just off of Interstate 4 between Highway 259 and the Lakeshore Landings or the intersection of Interstate 4 and John Young the Parkway. It’s south of Catalina and bordered by Holden Heights, Florida center, and Southwest Orlando. It’s just a couple minutes into downtown and is completely surrounded by shops, restaurants, malls, outlet centers, entertainment and lots more. This is Orlando’s entertainment mecca. Probably the most prominent icon is the Mall at Millenia. This is Orlando’s world-class shopping destination in a 1,200,000 ft.² shopping area offering 150 fantastic stores, services and restaurants. It offers stores such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada and Cartier and restaurants such as PF Chang’s, California Pizza Kitchen, the Capital Grill and the Cheesecake Factory.


Most of the homes in this neighborhood lie around the eastern edge of the community in places like smaller neighborhoods such as Camilla Gardens, Imperial Estates, Laurel Park, Canyon Gate and Winter Run. Homes within the specific community of Millenia, range from $125,000 condominiums and townhouses to about $250,000 single-family homes. The majority of real estate in this area is in the form of townhouses or condos and are extremely popular with those looking to be close to everything. The mall, outlets, and Orlando favorites are all close by and most of these condominiums and townhouses boast excellent walk scores and transit scores so finding your next adventure is just a few steps away.


Just off of Conroy Road is a smaller neighborhood of Winter Run with homes from about $150,000-$250,000. These are primarily single-story properties of around 1200 ft.² offering two and three bedroom floor plans.


So, all in all, the Millenia neighborhood is extremely affordable, and especially if you’re looking for condos are townhouses close to everything, this is it. There’s easy access to Florida’s Turnpike and the freeway and again, downtown Orlando is just 10 to 15 minutes away.
