Waterleigh Homes in Winter Garden – On the shores of Hickorynut Lake, and various other lakes and clear water ponds, in the Horizon West area of Winter Garden is the new housing community of Waterleigh. This community is in the beginning stages of construction located at Waterleigh Cove and Avalon Road just south of Old YMCA Road.
Waterleigh homes are built by D.R. Horton and Emerald Homes the community is zoned to build 1469 homes, 831 townhomes and 1300 condos. Homes in Waterleigh are carefully thought out in a master-planned neighborhood centered on community togetherness. When complete, there will be approximately 1,400 acres in the Southern Portion.
The first phase of development is a neighborhood called Marina Bay and construction began in this neighborhood in 2014. There are currently 17 single family floorplans to choose from for buyers interested in Waterleigh. Many homes will be on lakefront and pond front lots. Single-family homes range in size from 2,113 – 4,629 square feet with 3 to 5 bedrooms and 2 to 4 bathrooms. Homes in Waterleigh include open floorplans, attached two-car garages, large master suites, kitchens with pantry spaces and option to upgrade to granite counters and high-quality cabinets as well as much other style and finish upgrades. Homes are currently priced from $280,000 – $1,200,000.

The schools of Winter Garden are some of the best in Florida and are part of the famed Orange County School District. Families seek to live in the Orange County School District lines for the great education opportunities of the school district. There are also a large number of highly prestigious private schools in the area including Windermere Prep in the neighboring town of Windermere.
Schools assigned to Waterleigh are the Keene’s Crossing elementary school, the Bridgewater Middle school and the West Orange high school. These schools are between 5-10 miles from most homes in Waterleigh.
